Jayson Smith, President
Jayson Smith, owner and founder of Atlanta
Blind & Shade, Inc. has been in the window coverings industry since 1990. A
native Atlantan and Georgia State University graduate (86) BBA Finance, Jayson
has lived and worked in the Atlanta Metro area, with the exception of 91-93 in
Los Angeles where he worked for Blue Chip Drapery, since his birth in 1964.
As
a supporter of the arts and of Scouting (Eagle Scout ’80), Jayson invests most
of his spare time in the theatre or hiking, camping, hunting, skiing, or
golfing. Lately though, most of his time has been dedicated to his newlywed wife
Lisa.
Atlanta Blind & Shade, Inc. was founded in March of 1994 and has steadily become
one of the leaders in the window fashion industry. Starting as an
installer with Atlanta Home Interiors in 1990 and quickly moving into sales
Jayson helped grow that company until moving to Los Angeles to take a position
with Blue Chip Drapery. While in L.A. he worked in every department of Blue Chip
learning the business from the inside out until he was ready to open his own
business back here in Atlanta in 1994.
Since that time Atlanta Blind & Shade, Inc. has become one of the top window
treatment retail services in Georgia. While many of his competitors have come
and gone or changed the names of their companies to avoid creditors and
disgruntled customers, Atlanta Blind & Shade, Inc. has remained committed to
